Pretty Good Camp!

This movie rocks along the likes with others such as Pom-Pom Girls, and Fast Times At Ridgemont High!

I totally agree with you, man. "The Van" is loads of breezy'n'cheesy 70's drive-in movie fun. I especially love the fact that Sammy Johns' ghastly soft rock theme song is played over and over again throughout the movie. Moreover, the girls in it are really cute and Danny De Vito is a riot as the owner of the car wash. For all its raunchiness this flick nonetheless has a certain charming sweetness to it. Yeah, it's dumb as dirt, but if you're in the mood for a pleasantly mindless 90 minute diversion it does the trick just fine.

This really is an irresistible piece of trash, the type of movie that was remade as "Dazed and Confused." Getting pizza, getting stoned, getting laid ... ah, to be a teenager again. And not a single cell phone, breast implant or ironic quip!

Crown International really had its finger on the pulse of the '70s youth market. Now will the last drive-in patron kindly take the speaker as you exit?
