Has this movie(and other like it) become a time capsule

has this movie(and other like it) become a time capsule?

Watching this movie 30+ years later, it becomes more of a trip down memory lane than it is an entertainment experience. Because I still can remember Pizza parlors, pinball arcades, It also brought back memories of cruising around a small town while we smoked pot as we would yell at good looking girls and hoping to get laid (sometimes I'd get lucky and get some decent looking girl to share a joint with me and we'd screw in the backseat afterwords, I also remember many of the songs in this move(when they were new)......this movie serves as a perfect time capsule for that era in those regards (brought back lots of memories)

seeing all of those old 70's cars looking new and those old billboard advertisements in the back groung, just feels strange to see the world exacly as it was(as I remember it) instead of how it is now. I got the same feeling from other movies like "Mother, Juggs, & Speed" and "Thank God It's Friday"

but other 1970's movie such as Jaws, Superman,Smokey and the Bandit, Star Wars..... do not have that same 1970's nostalgic feeling that some of the lesser budget films do.......Star Wars was so ahead of its time, that I often forget that Star Wars was made in the 70's

Damn, St. Louis Assassin, I'm jealous. I wish I grew up in a time period where you could hollar out to girls, smoke weed with them and just ball in the backseat. I'll bet those girls you got had some pretty furry hairpies? Another thing of the past it seems.

Yes St. Louis Assassin was lucky because I was just a kid back then when all of this was going on. Times were a lot more easier back then because they did not throw the book at you like they do now.

I haven't seen this movie since that one night back around 1980 or '79, on late night HBO. The only scene I semi-vividly remember (because it turned me on so much) was when he nailed that really pretty, plump brunette chick...and the waterbed in his van (!) burst. lol

Gamera is really neat! He is made from turtle meat! We've been eating Gamera!

Me too, Caractus23, I love that scene where he f|_|cks the heavy chick from the fast food stand and his waterbed bursts. I had a lot of fun with women that size when I was single. They always loved getting eaten out, and rarely were they shaved (I hate waxed p*ssies), just like the chick in the movie (although my DVD somewhat tiles out her pubic hair.)

I was born in 1972 but I remember all of the things that you are talking about. I did not smoke pot at all when I was a kid. It was great to see how well constructed cars were back then compared to how the cars look now a days. I miss those times to be honest with you.
