bizarre....I was just watching the news here in Albuquerque, where Track of the Moonbeast was shot, and Frank Larrabee was just on. He's the basketball coach of a small high school west of here. here's the story. i saw him on the news and my jaw dropped. it's the fish lipped guy from the Band that Played California Lady!

Larabee was quoted as saying, "I've been wandering in circles with just a guitar in my hand."

A band called The Ramey Memo recorded a rock version of California Lady. Follow the link if you're curious.

I like the MST3k lyrics better "I forced my skull right through my face, and refused to wash my stringy hair..."

It as written and sung by Frank Larrabee. He is a well known custom home builder in ALBQ, as well as a World and National Champion Appaloosa breeder. He has also served as the President of the Appaloosa Horse Club. He and his wife care for a herd of wild horses on their property north of ALBQ and Frank also coaches basketball for a team of Native American students.
In real life he is a warm and personable person and has a great singing voice. He does a lot for the ALBQ community, including fundraising for the library.
