In Iris's "service room" were pretty ROMANTIC looking. I wonder what they were for, and if they were SCENTED, to keep the room smelling CLEAN and FRESH in between all of her sexual encounters.

The thing that has always struck me about these candles is the fire hazard it poses.

I believe that the director has stated the candles to convey that Travis saw Iris as saint-like.

Makes heroin preparation easier. Just hold the spoon over one of the many candles and you're good to go. No buggering around with lighters of matches.
