Has anyone looked into the inconsistencies of travis' hair throughout the film?
I've noticed whenever travis is in a scene with Iris his hair is considerably shorter.
When Travis is by himself his hair is much longer and slightly shorter on the sides.
When Travis is in scenes with Betsy, his hair seems to be even length all around and more shaggy.
Any thoughts?
If I'm right, Robert de Niro had 2 different hair cuts. One 'half long', and a much shorter one. The shorter one was for the make-up for the mohawk. I think it was easier to hide the short haircut.
shareI believe from some interview with Scorsese done a while ago that the movie was shot not in a linear timeline hence the multiple differences in Travis' hair length.
shareI noticed he went from having that mohawk to having long hair again very soon after going into/coming out of his coma.
