She seemed snobby and self absorbed to me. She walked around with her nose literally in the air and each time Dr. Wilbur would ask her a question she would answer it by talking about herself (mostly her beauty)

'She' knew what the doctor was really asking, and she avoided the questions because they would upset 'Sybil' and also reveal what they were ashamed/scared of & trying to keep secret.

She was just the opposite of Sybil so why not be snooty, snobby and talkative about herself. She was after all an aspect of Sybil. Probably the personality that helped her the most.
