I used to watch it in the UK in the afternoon back in the late 70s or early 80s, and it seemed to be on ALL the time.

It looks like it only ran for a single season. That can't be true, can it?

My favourite character was Harry, the Uncle, which is how I got here as I noticed the actor was in a film about a cabbie.

It ran for 1,114 episodes. I have seen it 5 times now. It's an amazing series, slow at times but you get engrossed with the characters and stories. I rate it 10/10 it's just so good, the greatest Australian TV show ever.
