did he somehow break the machine so that it never stopped?

Herzog would never vandalize a chicken-dancing machine. The chicken would only dance for a few seconds at a time, so Herzog had to edit together several clips to make it appear as one long chicken-dance.

He is a good man like that.

I would have liked to see a documentary about that chicken though, I bet he had a fascinating life.

And I bet Herzog would be the only man on earth to pull of a documentary like that.

I wish there were more chicken-dancing machines out there for the world to enjoy!
