Liked it mainly for Bronson.

I just watched St. Ives for the first time the other day. I'm a Bronson fan but for whatever reason never saw this one. The story at times gets confusing but I really liked how Bronson played the St. Ives character. There's some good dark humor in this movie. I do think Bronson was a bit of an underrated actor and while most are still watchable it's unfortunate he ended his career by making mostly B level action flicks. In the 70s Bronson still made some interesting films that weren't all shoot em ups.

Also Jacqueline Bisset was very stunning.

Yeah, this is kind of a slow movie, and the plotting toward the end confused me too, but I enjoyed watching CB play a relaxed character who has some good one liners, JB is simply perfect, and Lalo's score works. Throw in some good supporting actors, and you get a Rockford Files type of movie starring the great CB.

I love the movie personally. It's a great, laid back Saturday afternoon comedy drama that has the perfect flavor of mid 70s, lighthearted as it is.
