After seeing Alicia in "Smokin' Aces," I think she could pull off the role of Sparkle. Zoe Saldana or Sasha Allen as Sista and Tarralyn Ramsey as Deloris. Now that would be a killer cast. Terrence Howard should be Stix with Don Cheadle as Satin.

I think some of ya'll are forgetting the greatest aspect of this movie...the fact that Lonette, Irene and Dwan did their own vocals. Zoe and Amber are pretty as well as Sasha but I don't want lip syncing in the remake sorry I need some real singers. But Jordan Sparks is playing sparkle that's pretty much set in stone and I agree, she has the innocence of Irene's character and she has the voice to pull it off. I can def. get behind Alicia playing Sister all day I hope Whitney can make that happen, she's playing the mom and I love they are expanding her role b/c I felt the mom took too little part in trying to help Sister, plus Whitney is going to be a mom who has tried the secular music and seen where it lead so she's a church singer and I'm down to hear Ms. Houston sing any day ALL DAY lol. I think Keke Palmer should def. play Delores, wasn't she the youngest or was it Sparkle. She has a decent voice to be in the background and she can act. I read Mike Epps is playing Stix and Derek Luke is playing Satin I just hope Mike is serious this ain't a comedy.

Everybody wants to put Bey in a movie forgetting that she can't act her way out of a paper bag....NO THANK YOU!!!Bianca Lawson looks way to young to play sister, sister has to look older than Sparkle she looks about the same age as Jordan and Bianca isn't a singer. You miss the whole point of a musical (movie) they have to have both qualities.
