There needs to be a Director's Cut

Even though Page and CO. aren't fond of this concert(s). I feel that there needs to be a director's or Page cut of the DVD. Only cause so much is missing from it. Page should rerelease it with the missing footage, i.e. The Ocean, Misty Mountain Hop, Celebration Day, a full version of Heartbreaker and whatever else is missing from the sets.

I also think Page should go the Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii route and have an option that allows for viewing the complete concert only... no cut away scenes, fantasy sequences, hotel robberies, etc... just the concert and maybe some backstage easter eggs (gotta love Grant giving it to Madison Security).

I think this was a two or three night stay at MSG so there should be plenty-o-footage missing. So someone (I'm looking at you JImmy) should roll up their sleeves and get to splicing.

I agree! I grew up to this movie and double album as a kid, and I can't tell you how many times I'd put it on in my room and let the music take me away. While some of the perfectionists out there feel the need to pick it apart, for me songs like Since I've Been Loving You, No Quarter, Rain Song, Dazed & Confused and Immigrant Song all come alive in TSRTS. As I got older and realized this performance was only @ 5 years into their existence (Madison Square Garden, circa 1973), it completely blew me away! To think these guys were that good, at that age, that early into their careers... Wow! To this day it still holds that beauty and mystique it held on me all those years ago. With the awesome 2 DVD set put out a while back, I would love to see the same sort of treatment given to this classic live set, both on CD and DVD. It still remains to be the one still not "properly" remastered. To have the same lavish production put into the movie would put a smile on this old Zep fan a thousand lemons couldn't get rid of! Give us the entire show, all in 5.1/DTS, and I'd pay whatever the price. Jimmy, if you're listening.... PLEASE... give us more!!! (<-- My 2 cents...)
