If you guys like led as much as i do, u may also like Wolfmother

Ok, I am a HUGE led fan. Recently in australia a new band has made it big. Wolfmother. Look for their single Minds eye. They are very similliar style to Led and this is their first album Wolfmother.. check it out at www.wolfmother.com , as led fans tell me if you like or dislike them and why. When you go into the site theyll have a song playing from their album Wolfmother. Personally i think theyre good and have alot of potenial.

I dont personally think they are like Led Zep, but I do agree that they are a great new band here. I love their original style, and I hope they do really well. Its so nice to see a real band for a change in Australia, we havnt had one in a while..lol.

I'm thinking the lead singer of Wolfmother's voice is a dead cross between Robert Plant and Ozzy Osbourne (Sabbath Era)

when i first heard WolfMother i sighed and rolled my eyes, they are just another imitation band hoping to appeal to a new generation by stealing some other bands style.

i remember some girl asking them on stage at the 'Big Day Out' if they liked Led and maybe if they were influenced by them, and the lead singer laughed and he said maybe.

Its silly, why listen to WolfMother when u can hear the real thing. Although i have to agree the lead singer sounds like Robert Plant, but jesus christ, get your own ideas Wolf Mother, not very original, he probably spent years trying to imitate Plant exactly, isnt there such a thing as originality anymore?

I heard WM in the background of a local independent CD shop here in grand ol Utah. I didn't know who they were but I saw myself tapping my foot to them. They guy at the counter showed me their CD. "Hmmmm maybe one day I will check em out" I thought. After reading the OP I decided to find their CD new preferrably & I did back at that same shop. After listening to it all I am happy I got it.
The above comment from "le_harpo" doesn't sound very fair "Its silly, why listen to WolfMother when u can hear the real thing (Led Zeppelin). It's great to be influenced by LZ & really how can rock bands not be? I doubt he practiced his vocals to sound like Plant because if that was his aim he needs to practice more. They do not sound a whole lotta like LZ but maybe somewhat. I also felt his voice was much more like Geddy Lee's from Rush than Robert Plant's of LZ. I thought he sounded original. In fact his vocals are a little high & hard to get used to. I like WM certainly more than The Butterfly Effect from Australia. TBE sounds less original than WM. Thanks for the OP for getting me to try a new band.

I always thought they sounded more like a cross between Sabbath and Deep Purple.

Still a damn good band
