I just saw this POS. It makes you keep watching because you want to see the finale: the huge crash, but pretty much every other aspect of this film sucks. I only watched it because I thought it was written by Elliston Trevor who wrote Flight of the Phoenix, which they made into my favorite film in 1965. I noticed he was just one of the writers on this. My guess is he came up with the concept which was a good one, and left the other terrible writers to do the script.
The acting was terrible, the scenarios were dumb, nothing to recommend it except for Robert Conrad who is believable as the cop. I mean the whole thing has that mid--'70s junk cop show feel to it. Finally does anyone actually think Vera Miles is attractive?! Her scenes with David Groh (can't stand that dude!) were so pathetic!
