DVD?

Any chance that this will ever get to DVD, I know it was released on tape in the late seventies or early eightes, although very hard to find now and seems to cost a pretty penny thru ebay and would like to have a legitimate copy from the studio who put it out. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I know this doesn't answer your question, but it's airing on AMC these days...

I have a copy off AMC, but would love to have it in widescreen without commercials too. I have seen it for sale on Ebay under the vhs company that original put it out in the late 70's but everytime I see it the starting price is like over 50 dollars I am not going to spend that much for it. I know it's a little obscure and not the most remembered movie from the 70's but I happen to like it for James Coburn and Robert Culp. I would love to just see it in widescreen just for all the night time photography and to have a really good copy of it. I am just happy I have a copy because up until a couple of years ago I had not seen the movie since the early 80's and was surprised how much I enjoyed it still. Thanks for the information anyway......

I agree - I would love a copy of this movie in widescreen - it has never been released in any format in 2.35:1 and has never been shown on tv in widescreen although there would definently have been a 2.35 transfer made when the full frame version was remastered - don't know if this info is of any use to you but the soundtrack of the film is being released on July 28th 2009 and is available for pre-order here

Hope that Fox will eventually release this movie in widescreen one day

Shout! Factory is releasing this one on DVD early next year on a doublebill with the Western "The Last Hard Men;" you can already pre-order it on Amazon.

I believe the Fox Movie Channel showed it this morning, it may be in their rotation.

Fox shows this good but mechanical action-thriller. But if you have ATT Uverse, you won't be able to copy it with a DVD recorder. Uverse is the only provider to use copyguard protection on the majority of the stations they carry.
