Favorite Scenes
my personal favorite (of course) was thye coke machine cannon
sharehahaha yeah. they're all pretty funny. I like the part where Marty Feldman's character has to watch the two german shepards, and they get mixed up so the not blind guy ends up taking the seeing eye dog, and the poor blind guy gets dragged away by the lesser trained one. ha ha! Marty's like "you've got the wrong dog!"
I love how throughout the whole thing they'll have Dom Deluise eating or something hahaha. Like that one part where he randomly goes "I need a blueberry pie badly!" hahaha. Or when they're chasing Paul Newman, and they show Mel and Marty go up and then Dom comes up and he's got a sandwich in his hand or something hahahha!
I like how Marty's character tries to go after any girl that moves lol....always getting shot down.
Anne Bancroft's scene is funny too.

Yeah, and that is why he has to go to the bathroom at one point.
shareSome favorite moments:
--The reaction of the board of directors to the picture of Bernadette Peters.
--The beginning, when the pregnant woman gets in the car.
--The concession stand at the movie theater (this was in the days BEFORE super-sizing!)
--The scene in James Caan's trailer--especially when it tilts, the door flies open, and the women see the guys all piled up in the corner on top of each other.
There's more, but it's been ages since I've seen it. Fortunately Wal-Mart has the DVD for $7.50, so I just might pick it up for myself. But for such a "silent" movie, it's got some incredible sounds--not to mention the catchiest theme song I have ever heard in a movie!
When the ICU nurse tells them "that way", then promptly goes back to reading her novel.
Turning the heart monitor into Pong.
The Geritol ward.
And my absolute favorite, when the crossed fingers gets passed on to each other.
"Fags!"
shareThe part where the nurse is reading "My Filthy Dreams" and meanwhile the patients are having all kinds of problems on the screens.
shareThe part where Mel says, "Wait 'til I tell the guys! They'll flip!" And he tells them and they really do some backflips.
"Madam — this driveway WILL NOT DO!!" - John Wilmott, THE LIBERTINE
Ummm...the scene where Burt Reynolds is taking a shower and the three main characters suddenly showing up to give him a "scrubdown"...Shades of homoeroticism (implied of course, but chuckle-ious, just the same);)
"Live long and prosper"
I love Marty with the dogs...the blind guys dog and the other dog, and they get them mixed up and he's like "Wait you've got the wrong dog!" And the poor blind guy gets dragged off!
I love how they just always randomly cut to them driving. Their facial expressions always look funny when they're in the car. Mel will look all intent...Marty looks like no chalent, and Dom is usually eating or something haha!
Pretty much every scene in this movie is hillarious!!!

the sneak preview gag was very funny
i laughed hard !
Gotta be when Burt Reynolds is in the shower. That 3rd hand creeping up from nowhere...cracks me up every time.
shareIn addition to some of the scenes mentioned, I have to give a vote for Mel and Bernadette Peters on the Merry Go Round...for those who've seen the film, enough said?
shareMel with the big bottle. "He truly is Lord of the Winos!"
The "rabid dog" scene at the Engulf and Devour meeting, and of course "Pass it down.".
Low budget picture shot in India: "Queen's rifles"
"They keep giving me those pills but they don't seem to work."
I like the part where Eggs pulls out the plug on the Studio Chief's heart machine and then puts it back in. The SC falls asleep and wakes up. It leads to a sequence with Eggs and Bell turing the machine into a Pong game (one of the earliest arcade games) and it causes the SC to jerk around and Funn has to tell them to stop it. I can just picture how he is talking, "You dummies! Look at what you are doing! Here, change this back!"
