I was born in 1984, I don't live in Italy and I think it's hilarious! You should read a little or watch something about that time and place and see it again, really, give it a chance.

is a 9 out of 10. I realize this movie could perhaps be funny only for italians, who could consider for example the great cast.
Anyway, try "hands over the city". It's serious business.
