Because this turned out to be the Duke's last film, the one actor I had always hoped would be in it was Chuck Roberson, his stunt double for decades.

Who is the one missing actor that you would have wanted to appear?

Jack Elam is one of my favorite character actors. But he was not really one of the troupe of John Wayne regulars.

I think Ben Johnson (who was very much alive) would have been better than Henry Morgan as the Marshal.

I would have liked to see 2 actors

Harry Carey Jr., out of respect to his father;
Paul Fix, who was a mentor to Wayne in his early days.
