Saw it in the theater.

I never remember a theater being so dark as I curled up in my seat. I was very little and don't think my parents thought this movie would scare me.
This was the first movie I had ever seen that wasn't a Disney flick. The white mask gave me the creeps and later when I saw "Halloween" for the first time I instantly thought back to "Shadow of the Hawk". I have only seen this movie once since then but would love to have it on DVD.

I saw this too when it came out. Scared the crap out of me. I was 10. I wonder if it would hold up.

Hi! I've been tryin to find out the name of a film for ages, based only on a fragment on one scene. Someone suggested Shadow of the Hawk and I'm hoping that you can corroborate. Here's what I remmber ...

THE SCENE:
Person on telephone (possibly inside a phone box) has something which is made out of wood and it has carvings on it. No idea what the object is, sorry!. The voice on the other end of the phone (woman) is reciting a list of items and the person is looking at the carvings and they match the list. One of these items is an owl.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
I think it's a horror film or at least a psychological/creepy one. The feeling is that the object is chillingly significant, possibly cursed or the catalyst for a terrible occurrence. the voice on the phone appears to be listing the items as a sort of confirmation that the person does indeed have the right item. It was on UK television sometime in the late 1970's.

Does this ring a bell?

And I say I'm dead ... and I move

I saw this in a movie theater as a child, as well. I think I was nine or ten. I remember this scene involving an invisible wall. I thought that was so awesome as a child. I think I saw this turn up on cable some years back. I wonder if this will be on DVD soon.
