Anyone Seen Two Different Ending Versions? (MAJOR SPOILER)

I know that I didn't dream seeing this variously on VHS and cable with two different endings: the VHS has her shooting and being shot by villain Cesare Danova and sitting there alive holding her gun in a freeze frame as the credits roll. A cable version late one night showed her fall over suggesting she dies. Can anyone shed light on what the original theatrical version depicts?

Yeah, that ending shocked me, I didn't expect to see her get shot twice, looked like one in the crotch, it certainly caught me off guard. I never saw the ending where she fell over just the freeze frame where she is holding the gun.

The video version is changed from the original in two ways. For one, the music score is completely different from the original. Two, the video version ends with the freeze frame that you mentioned, and then they add in video-generated titles over that. The original version had her roll over and die, like you said. My only guess is the people who put the movie out on video didn't want her to die, so they freeze framed it and re-did the titles. Weird that they went to all that trouble, huh?

I have an uncut 16mm print of this. It has the ending where you are not sure if she will die or not, but the titles are normal, not video-generated. Make of that what you will, but that leads me to assume that there were two endings (not uncommon for films to have different cuts in different regions), and one was chosen--possibly at random--for the video release.

If you have the original version on 16mm, do you think could make screenshots of the end credits for me, so I could get the correct information onto IMDB? Right now I can only go by the facsimile video credits.

You'd just have to run the print and photograph all the credits off of the screen. I PM'ed you about it. I'd appreciate it if you could help out a fellow IMDB'er on this.
