I agree! I rather like this movie, even though some of the 'User Comments' say it's derivative and un-original.

I say: "Screw them".

I'd much rather watch this than any new Hollywood puke-buster. Oops, I meant "blockbuster".

As for those idiots who say 'SATAN'S SLAVE' is derivative of other movies I think they're comparing this movie to films made LATER. So one could say many later films are actually derivative of THIS one.

So many modern morons.

Yes, lots of blood and nudity for people who are into sleazy horror. But also a well written story and creepy atmosphere for people who are into more classy, sophisticated horror. I think it has something to please all horror fans.

Actually, the plot is similar to "The Witches" (1966) and "Curse of the Crimson Altar," aka "The Crimson Cult" (1968), both of which begin and end with overt witcheries while the entire midsection is mostly slow rural happenings. Meanwhile the occultic sacrifice of the protagonist was likewise done in "The Wicker Man" (1973). Then there's "The City of the Dead," aka "Horror Hotel" (1960).

So, yeah, the basic tale was nothing new.

I concur. This movie was quite enjoyable and certainly delivered on both the tasty gratuitous nudity and raw bloody violence.
