A quirky gem

Given that it was only made for TV and that the quality of the cinematography leavesa lot to be desired (it's very grainy and there are some dreadful cuts), this is a very enjoyable movie. Essentially because the acting is first rate. This is O'Toole at his best.

It was obviously made on a budget of a dollar a day, but the film evokes a bygone era of England - King and Country values and quirky eccentricity.

A must see!
