SS-Sturmbannführer (Interrogator)

It seems like his role as the black leather-gloved Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler Sturmbannführer served as a prototype for his role as Vogel in The Last Crusade ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097576/board/thread/188119233?d=188119233#188119233 )although the earlier character was not as flamboyantly over the top and clicheed. He even stepped on the protagonist's fingers with his black leather riding boots in both films.
