In real life the media would assume Rocky was having some type of nervous breakdown the way he's yelling Adrian. But in terms of the movie that bit works very well. And after just being in the fight of his life Rocky's concerned with such a simple thing as where Adrian's hat is.:) Love this movie.

Adrian is the reason we all know this is a movie. In "real life" I seriously doubt a young woman as shy and maybe awkward as her would so suddenly begin to bond with a man such as Rocky. Maybe, just maybe, if Rocky was a librarian or an insurance salesman and a very close friend of the family might this relationship work, but Rocky is a buff, uneducated and incoherent man who is an amateur boxer and works for a loan shark. Rocky should be thankful Adrian's only family is her underachieving brother who thinks she's a loser, rather than an overprotective mother and father.
