Very Well Acted

The acting level in this film blows the doors off most independent 70s movies. I was so refreshing to see such skilled actors give such moving performances after watching several corny blaxpoitation films in a row.

Jonelle Allen was particularly noteworthy. It's a shame she didn't do more high profile projects.

The stars (Cicely Tyson, James Earl Jones, Louis Gossett Jr., Glynn Turman) and many of the supporting players (Roger E. Mosley, Ralph Wilcox, Teddy Wilson, Charles Weldon) put in their usual notewothy performances.

Hilda Haynes was hilarious as the drunk old lady. She was great at the end too, when all the jokes were over.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

I personally felt Glynn Turman gave the best performance in this movie.
