The Robert Denby Cup

Ladies and gentlemen, we know that Robert Denby is the king of elusiveness. But who are some other elusive villains? A select group may approach Denby level, but none have that deutrium-strength quality of not being able to be located accurately like our man Bob.

Candidates For Elusiveness

* Dr Hale. He followed Sam at low level in a loud helicopter, when he was supposed to be inside the truck, yet Sam didn't twig for ages. Sam took longer than a normal human would take to realise. Is the puzzlingly lengthy period of perceived goodness on Dr Hale's part because Sam was a total dope? Or was it because...Dr Hale was almost as elusive as Robert Denby?!

* The original Leonard Driscoll. Very elusive....only seen in the pilot, then he was played by the guy from Devil Doll. Recasting? Or elusivity?

NOTE - As Leonard is a hero, not a villain, he doesn't count.

* Carl, the brake sabotager. His supreme powers of swiftness enabled him to be in place to sabotage Sanm's truck in an amazingly short length of time. Had Leonard seen how fast Carl came and went from the story, he would most certainly have commented that the wrench-bearing fake gas attendant was quite close to being as elusive as Robert Denby is.

* The well-dressed guy who's in league with Denby. In order for this fella to avoid Driscoll's dragnet, despite his clear affiliation with Bob, for as long as he has means that Denby's pal apprached his own level of being hard to track.
A man that can cross his fingers as well as that MUST be elusive.

* The bar hicks. A massive fight goes down in the bar, yet no police arrive. No-one calls the cops, in fact. A possible reason is that no-one thought it would be worth the bother to summon police help, as the two hicks who start the ruckus are too notoriously elsuive to be captured.

* Cupcake. This woman embodies elusiveness. Need I say more.

What about "The Long Drive" route?

“So it takes them 13 hours to go from Torrance to Long Beach?
https://www.google.com/search?num=100&safe=off&q=map+torrance+ to+long+beach

via I-405 = 28 min = 15.1 miles
via I-110 = 30 min = 14.6 miles
via E Sepulveda Blvd26 = 35 min = 11.9 miles

http://www.arkansasrunner.com/calculators/mileperhr.htm
35 minutes for 11.9 miles = 20.4 Miles Per Hour

At a 13 hour drive, Ben Murphy would have to be going slow.
HOW SLOW???

13 hours for 11.9 miles = 0.91538 Miles Per Hour
1 mile = 5280 feet
(11.9 miles x 5280) = 62832 feet
(13 hours x 60 minutes) = 780 minutes
62832 feet / 780 minutes = 80.55 feet per minute.
80.55 Feet per minute / 60 seconds = 1.3425 Feet per second

In contrast to 20.4 miles per hour = (20.4 MPH x 5280 feet per mile)
= 107712 Feet per hour = (107712 FPH) / 3600 (seconds per hour) = 29.92 Feet per second

Now, all that said, here is a general guideline on treadmill speeds: for most people 2 to 4 mph will be a walking speed; 4 to 5 mph will be a very fast walk or jog; and anything over 5 mph will be jogging or running.

For cyclists in Copenhagen, the average cycling speed is 15.5 km/h (9.6 mph). On a fast racing bicycle, a reasonably fit rider can ride at 50 km/h (31 mph) on flat ground for short periods.

I think that "Sam Casey" (played by Ben Murphy) is going to get a ticket for "Going At An Unsafe Slow Speed" (slower than a toddler on their first day crawling) for that Triprolidine run.

The most elusive are the ones we never even saw.

Let's be bad guys.
