Great for parties.

The remarks on the topic board are more positive than the reviews so this is the place for me. If you are looking for a fun film to show at a party that is about or from the 70's this is it (definately get the DVD, not the video). I've seen this film three times at different parties while in high school and everyone has always loved it. First of all, it is funny, unintentional or not. The movie does have nudity but it is not raunchy like American Pie. American Pie was about masterbation and watching women strip. In Cheerleaders, the film is about blowing off steam and having fun naked. There is some sex but everyone is having a lot of fun, not worrying. I guess because it was the 70's. I thought the boys and girls were really cute (and real) and scenes like the shower scene were really fun. I didn't want to be like anyone in American Pie but I wouldn't have mind being someone from Cheerleaders. It's really run, off-the-wall film perfect when you want something kind of naughty for a party but not want porn.
