this movie after seeing some parts of it reminded me of Dazed and Confused and American Graffiti, I think it's because they are both end of High School films.

True. It's like a reminder of "Dazed And Confused" which takes place in 1976, which is the year "The Pom Pom Girls" was released.

I am 38 years old and born in 1972. I do remember the 70's but only as a child though. I did not start going through my teenage years until around the mid 80's but I do remember some of the things that happened during the 70's though.

I would say it's "Dazed and Confused" that reminds me of this movie rather than vice versa, but yes, this films reminds me of a raunchier version of "American Graffiti." These type of end-of-school, beginning of summer films were pretty common in the '70s and '80s, and they're a lot of fun. This is no exception. It's not a great film, but it's certainly an entertaining one. 7/10 stars from me.

I really like this movie. I was 15 years old in 1976 and all those memories keep coming back to me with the hairstyles of the guys and gals, the clothes and the cars. It's a great time capsule of Southern California of that time. Personally I never had that much as the characters in the movie! High School in the 70's without cellphones, computers and we had fun OUTDOOORS rather than sitting at home in front of the computer screen. Man I miss those days.
