Possible inspiration for this film

This movie reminded me a lot the premise of "Generale della Rovere" with elements of "la Marcia Su Roma" and "Amarcord". The character of Pasqualino looked a lot like a mix between the main characters of "Treasure of San Gennaro" and "divorce Italian style".

No, not really. The character of Pasqualino is shaped around the character of "Settbellizz" from the Eduardo De Filippo 1950 play "Napoli Milionaria". The setting, even, is the same.
