I watched this around Christmas time and noticed that Bernard Bresslaw looked and dressed exactly like Dr Evil in the Austin Powers films...I wonder if young Mike Myers had seen this and got the idea (along with Blofeld from James Bond obviously!!)

Probably not as Dr. Evil is dressed almost exactly like Blofeld in 'You Only Live Twice'.
