A copy?

I'm looking for a copy of this movie. I have played the copy my father taped for me so many times that 20+ years later, scenes have gone so bad it can't be watched properly. If anyone has any ideas on how to find this, please let me know!

I have searched the internet, including Ebay, but to no avail.
I even thought about buying the DVD release from the German Kauka website, but it would be in PAL format, which won't play over here.

I wish that they would release it here on DVD. :(

I had been checking ebay about once every week for ages and nothing was coming up. So I posted a Want it Now ad on Ebay and now there are multiples! YES!

How did you look it up? I've searched and searched and nothing...I would love to have a copy...even a copied copy...thanks!!

They changed the films name into "Der Zauberstein" in Germany. Just look up "Der Zauberstein" on e.g. Amazon.de and you'll find the DVD for 13,99 € (or just copy this link ;o) http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B000ARXIZ2/302-2941421-9660846?v=glance&n=284266&s=dvd&v=glance )

the Der Zauberstein dvd release is only a German language Region 2 version, try ioffer you'll find a cheaper english language version on video the prices on ebay have gone for over $200 much to high for this cartoon

I just received my copy from ioffer. It took a couple of emails to finally get it but I am so HAPPY! What a joy to finally get to see this entertaining cartoon after all these years of only having bits and pieces of memories. The quality of the dvd is actually pretty good. I was worried because it was just a plain disc that he had written the title on with a sharpie pen. The voices and songs are exactly how I remember from those lazy Family Film Festival Sunday afternoons.

It has taken a long time, but it looks like this is going to be coming to the US. I hear there is a release date of Nov. 7th. If you search it on eBay you can find a few places offereing a "pre" sale. Amazon as well has a pre sale up as well.

I found this on Deepdiscountdvd.com. I've been searching for the name of this movie for a very long time! I remembered watching this on the Family Film Festival on weekend afternoons. What fond memories...

Amazon has it and Blockbuster.com has it also.

Can't wait to buy myself a copy.
