The heroism of Mrs Baylock
Loving nanny to Damian, concerned attendant to the Thorns. She was a genuinely lovely woman, seemingly not at all phased by Cathy's frequent mood swings. And she held down the entire household. She even came to the hospital to help Cathy get dressed, because she knew Robert was out of the country, selfishly leaving his wife unattended. It was really tragic that Cathy's nerves were so rattled by then, she crashed out of the window in a state of terrified paranoia. And then, even after Cathy dies, Baylock feels obligated to stick around and save Damian from his father's insanity, the result being her own death. Within the darkness of The Omen, Mrs Baylock was truly the light.
