Describe Mrs. Baylock

Describe Mrs. Baylock as a character. Is she one of those iconic characters? Is there any unique traits or quirks about her?

And most of all, would you be terrified to be in the same room with her?

I have no real plans to see this movie...or the remake.

Brother Maynard, bring forth the holy hand grenade!

One of the scariest characters I've ever seen in a film. From pleasant polite nanny to complete psycho in just a few scenes.

I wouldn't want to be in a room with her!

reply

She reminds me of the nun who was my primary school teacher when I was 7 years old.

You poor thing. I'm so sorry.

Brother Maynard, bring forth the holy hand grenade!

Sexy, beautiful and hot

agreed

Who would you rather have on top of your automobile - Tawny Kitaen or Julie Carmen?

reply

Sexy, beautiful, gorgeous and hot.

She's Satans nanny....and the actress Billie Whitlock, doesn't have many lines,But she certainly expresses all she thinks with her face. The scene where she watches Damian ride his tricycle round and round in his room,as if powering up to do a dastardly deed-Then opens the door to unleash his evil intent. Is all done without a word.

reply

It's Billie Whitelaw-not Whitlock -before someone cuts my fingers off

A chilling trivia bit: Mrs. Baylock's name is derived from Ba'al(ock), one of the major demons in Hell.

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.

In one scene Lee Remick calls her that and “Mrs.Blaylock.”

reply

Creepy.

She was Loyal to the Dark Lord to the core.

even though Baylock was in league with the devil and waiting for the antichrist child, i thought she was nice looking and had nice eyebrows for a woman her age
