I have the unrated version of this movie which has an uncredited actress in it, who is prison guard/trustee, Alice. This woman does an outstanding performance and I find it hard to believe that she allowed the producers to film her in three scenes, two of them lengthy, without giving her proper billing.

I'm pretty sure she's Denise Dillaway who is listed as "inmate." Remember, trustees are inmates. Maybe the actress wants it that way now after starring in the near-porn The Cheerleaders, too. Maybe she doesn't want others to know exactly which parts she played unless they really watch to find out. It seems she's a makeup artist now.
There's another uncredited (completely) actress who is a working actress now. I know I've seen her on something like one of the Law & Order reruns recently. She was the blond woman who took Deborah Raffin's bean soup her first night there when she didn't want to eat it. Do you remember her? I'm trying to place her.

Thank you! who is Alice? I have been trying to find out the actresses name for years. literally. No one on wants to talk about her? well that's too bad! lets wake everyone up from hibernating and find out who this person is. Someone knows.
She had the biggest most controversial scenes , is she hiding? is she embarrassed? all of the versions of "Nightmare in Badham county" that have been released in the U.S. are stripped of ANY OF ALICE'S scenes!!! what the hell?
its not the same movie without her. who is she? wy were her scenes all replaced on the new DVDs? help!!!
She was never in the original made for TV movie.. her scenes were added later for an uncut version. I first saw this movie from the uncut VHS so I assumed it was the original also. The made for TV movie isn't nearly as good as that version.
And I don't think Alice is Denise Dillaway. I've been trying to find out who played that part as well :)
Here I am in 2020 trying to find the same answer, WHO IS ALICE!, and glad to find others who consider this long-forgotten TV-made movie to be a classic. Wow, if Alice didn't appear anywhere in the TV movie, that version cut out a whole lot, which might explain its low imdb rating. Anyway, the movie's just not the same without her. The credits at the beginning and end of the movie I don't believe were updated for the longer version, which is why we don't see her in the credits. But then again, Della Reese doesn't show up anywhere in the credits!!(??!). It is not Denise Dilloway. Dilloway played the inmate who Alice stripped, briefly assaulted and whipped. (Dilloway was in Cheerleaders, 1973.) It is possible that she wiped her name from any credits, if she had such power, because of the scene (a completely gratuitous nudity scene) where she is completely unclothed. She may wish not to be associated with that scene.
