Just watched it on FMC

Can confirm part of it was filmed in the Moorpark, CA, area- one sign said 11 miles to Fillmore, 20 to San Fernando, and that is where the circles intersect. The thing that I kept thinking was, is this a stereotypical corrupt Southern sheriff movie? Or if they implied it was in California (never bothered to disguise the license plates), why the hillbilly music? And, damn, it sure took a dark turn at the end.
