Both movies had segments shot at Le Chene Restaurant. Duel in 1971, Moving Violations in 1976.

I thought I had seen that restaurant before! Thanks for the details.

The Le Chene French restaurant is still open and has excellent food...also, Vasquez Rocks is only a few miles away, another famous filming site.
