Netflix version edited from 'R' to 'PG'?

Anyone familiar with this film seen the Netflix DVD? According to a poster on the Netflix site, the Netflix DVD is an edited "PG" version not the original "R" rated film. FOX Movie Channel also has this in their library but not sure if they show the real version either.

The original released version in 1976 was PG - the same cut that FOX shows. I can imagine it seems hard to believe with the violence and sexual suggestiveness but it was PG.

This was years before the invention of the PG-13 rating. Basically, anything that you can imagine might manage to get a PG-13 now would have gotten a PG then.
