Favorite Scene

My personal favorite scene in this movie is when Jugs is faced with the death of one of the patients in the ambulance. Raquel Welch handled this scene very well and made it one of the strongest onscreen moments of her career.

Mine is when Jugs has to pull the zipper down on the old guy who got his crank stuck in the zipper and he's writhing with pain then yells out real loud LOL......

Being a paramedic at an inner-city commercial ambulance service for what seems like an eternity, I always got a kick out of the "abulance drivers" in this movie asking for cash or some type of payment up front. Civilians and newer generation EMT's and Medics think of this as a big joke or comedy, but back in the 80's and early 90's that was not so farfetched. In the "good old days" I remember our owner telling us to turn away drunks and mental patients seeking rides to the hospital if they couldn't produce cash payment. When the company was hurting for money he even told us to turn away actual sick people without cash. Things have come a long way throughout the country in EMS...Anyways, I got off topic. My favorite scen has to be when they let the stretcher go on the steps, and that large women cruised down the street. Laugh everytime I see it.

I think the funniest scene may be when Mother is eating that disgusting burger and drinking an Anchor Steam - this had me bustin' out laughing. Dr. Huxtable was once Mother - Hah!!!!

How about when he harpoons that hot massage parlor girl in the rear end with the syringe?

The run-away stretcher scene (as brimstone21 also mentions). So bad it was hilarious, especially the sudden stop at the end! LOL!

My favorite was when the two rival ambulance companies are arguing before the county council about who should get the contract for next year. The spokesman for one company plays his trump card: We hire more black drivers. So Bill Cosby jumps up, points to Raquel Welch, and says, "Oh Yeah? Well we got a woman driver! And that's worth three blacks, two Chicanos, and the future draft rights to one Puerto Rican!"
