A great movie...especially popular in China

This film was translated and introduced to China in 1977, and it was a great hit. I was a kid then and didn't get much from it other a vague memory of some brave men walking on mountain trails, singing a beautiful song called "Ah farewell my friend(s)..." which was immensely popular in China then (even now, among people who are older than 30).

Almost 3 decades later, I found this movie on DVD in a video store in China. I watched it yesterday and really love it. There is such a simple charm about it, with good humor, good spirit, healthy simplicity, plus some very handsome, brave, and charming men :)
