Final scene (major spoilers!)

One of the very few points that don't really work for me is the end when Gunvald avoids firing in a very tight situation and then says "Nobody would have expected /me to fire/, would you?" In the book it's a great way of closing the story, it adds to the enigmatic cool of Gunvald and at the same time it puts a question to the reader, but in the film Thomas Hellberg doesn't deliver that line, he doesn't seem to know what to do with it. It's not credible and he appears too disinterested. Even if he doesn't bother about taking vengeance on the gunman he'd surely feel ignited by the fact that this guy fired to take him out, and also may have just killed his team captain whom he has a good deal of respect for?

"Richelieu's men are notorious for their complete lack of taste."
