The Three Musketeers?

I have not seen this film. In the characters I do not see the names Athos, Porthos, nor Aramis in the cast. Are the Three Musketeers not in the film or are they under different names? Note: in reality, Athos' first name is Armand.

This is a bit late, but YES, the musketeers appear in this. The original books were both (all) written by Dumas, as well as the Count of Monte Christo (which has no musketeers, but there is a TV version with Richard Chamberlain and Louis Jourdan!).

There are musketeers in the movie, seen at one point led by a character named Philippe D'Artagnan (Louis Jourdan), but D'Artagnan appears to be more of a lone-wolf noble who has these musketeers at his beck and call, not one of them, and certainly not the Fourth Musketeer of Dumas's other romance. The musketeers who appear in this movie (there are about five of them) are never referred to as Aramis, Porthos, or Athos; they are more like background figures, i.e. red shirt types you get in "Star Trek."
