Just one more terrible film to the litany of Dino De Laurentiis terrible films.

Did he EVER make a good movie?? Seems all he brought to films was a cool sounding name.

Well, he did give Altman the money to make "Buffalo Bill and the Indians Or Sitting Bull's History Lesson" (1976). Not one of Altman's bests but it does have a number of interesting performances particularly from its star Paul Newman. Dino intended to bankroll "Ragtime" with Altman directing but the poor showing of "Buffalo Bill"led to Dino firing Altman from the project and putting Milos Forman at the helm instead--a semi-successful film that flopped at the box office.

well I do like Body Of Evidence and Caligula. A lot of his projects had potential, like Diabolik, I don't know, there always seems to be something missing in them or them being downright bad, to a few good straight to video quality like Body Of Evidence.

Blue Velvet is a classic.

Blue Velvet was David Lynch, not DeLaurentiis. It is very good.

The film was produced by DeLaurentis. I didn't know if the OP was including all things Dino was involved with on any level or not.

I'm very familiar with Mr. Lynch so I knew he directed Blue Velvet, but Dino financed and produced the film. So I was giving him credit for that.

Just looked it up and it says he's an "uncredited Executive Producer". I didn't know he had anything to do with the film. You're totally right to include Blue Velvet in this thread and I learned something new 🙂
