Cracking film

Really good story, really funny and takes me back to when I was a kid.
Fantastic.

Yes - one of the very best movie spinoffs of a sitcom.

Love this film immensely. Bolam and Bewes are legends in this with too many quotes to list. Coupled with Mike Hugg's classic 70's score it's a winner all the way.

I enjoyed it a lot. I haven't watched very much of the TV series but will definitely be renting the DVDs.

Charles,

Yup this movie reminds me of my childhood too.

I'm Australian and my father, John Langfield was a champion Speedway rider in the '70's, who was Captain of the Australian team and we went to England in 72 and 74 for the Speedway season and lived in Britain for 6 months each time.

I loved the place and being over there (I was born in 1962, so I was 10 and 12 yo at the time) and this movie reminds me of Great Britain and the great times we had there. - (as well of reminding me the travels to different countries around the world we had.)

No doubt, like rest of world I say the place is completely different now, (2013) but I prefer to pretend it's still the same as I remember, by watching and enjoying a film like 'The Likely Lads' !!

B!LL!
