Nice-looking, uncut print, too. (The last time I saw this was on AMC, years and years back, and they had cut some of the 'naughty bits' (mainly scenes in the ho' house).

Gangsteroctopus - was it 4:3 or wide/letterbox?

I don't know much at all about Netflix, but does anyone know if classics like this end up on Netflix, without ever being available before on home video (VHS, DVD), is there a chance they will actually get an official release?

Or is the fact that it IS on Netflix a sign that it will get released, even in the half-assed burned on demand Warner Archive type thing?

I came to the board to post this exact same thing. It was nice to learn about Leadbelly and I'm now tuned onto his music.
Netflix has a good clean copy but it cuts off before the end credits are finished.

Ernie Hudson had his first role and was credited as Earnest L. Hudson.
