Violence as a rule doesn't bother me but why do writers have to put scenes beating up on women when it really has nothing to do with the story line--or the storyline could have easily done without it ? Coburn beats Susan to a pulp twice and then two of his goons almost rape her. After that the dvd got pitched. Otherwise it might have made a good western.

As a rule I like shoot 'em ups, gangster wars etc but when women constantly get beat up, the switch gets turned off.

I agree. I didn't like this movie at all. That was one of my reasons. Charlton Heston was really slumming when he made this.

I agree. That was one of the reasons I hated the movie. Charlton Heston was really slumming when he made this movie. I hated seeing Heston getting beat up by that punk Mitchum too. I thought Arrowhead with Charlton Heston was a decent Western, but it looked like one of the greatest Westerns ever next to this garbage.
