Jessica Lange is perfect as Marilyn Monroe

I think Jessica Lange's role in this movie is a great achievement, in terms of how the character is written and how it is played by Jessica. She is this naive Marilyn Monroe like girl. I don't mean the real Marilyn Monroe, but the kind of character Marilyn often played in movies. A perfect Beauty for the Beast. I can't understand why people say that this movie almost destroyed Jessica Lange's career.

The girl in the 2005 King Kong was different - more serious and sophisticated, but also quite well conceived and played. The 1933 Kong girl, however, mostly just screamed and squirmed throughout the whole movie, I can't see much value in that.
