REMAKE

In a mid-90's issue of Details magazine, Val Kilmer revealed he owns the rights to this book and plans to star in a remake as Lou Ford.

Hope they make it in Butte, MT again like the first one. It was fun serving soup to the crew the wet night they made the ending in the rain. I especially remember Keenan Wynn. I don't believe this movie was ever released to the theaters. It was just the wrong kind of movie at that time. It was made here (Butte) and I waited decades to see it. Now it is on VHS and DVD.

Do you really think this will happen, pals? Val Kilmer is fighting to make a comeback, but even KISS KISS BANG BANG doesn't seem to have done it for him, and I don't know if he has the necessary power to get it done. He would be terrific in the part, though.

I killed him for money and for a woman. I didn't get the money... and I didn't get the woman.

Michael Winterbottom is directing, casey affleck is playing lou ford. jessica alba also stars (ugh). andrew dominik (of "jesse james/robert ford" fame) is writing.
