This movie is so under-rated. I watch this movie on HBO when I was a kid and loved it. For years I was looking for a copy and about three years ago bought one on VHS from eBay. The scene where he puts his dog to sleep is so sad. I loved how he set up the bully, that was cool. I wish this movie was in every video store, it's a great movie for kids.
shareha ! I remember watching it on HBO as a kid also. My friends and I loved it to death. I haven't watched it ever since then, and so I just bought it on DVD from Amazon. It's gonna be really weird to watch it again after 30+ years !
shareit's so funny when everyone considers this film a kids movie when it wasn't meant to be one. even though it turned out that way. coscerelli said in an interview and on the commentary that the movie was shot for adults. so that adults could feel nostalgic about their own childhoods.
