When I was looking for this movie on video years back, I got two versions - one had all the sexual material intact but the violence toned down (the exploding torso as Ilsa watched from behind a screen was gone, as well as the ant-eaten foot). While the other one had all the violence but the more overt sexual material snipped out(when Ilsa is training the new slaves in the, erm, arts of love, she pushes the girl's face into a woman's crotch and yells "Lick, b**ch!" - that classic line was cut out!)

I think the new DVD releases have all the cuts restored (?) but I wonder which markets wanted more sex and less violence, or less sex and more violence!

The European version toned down the violence, especially the overly sexualized violence while keeping the sex and nudity intact. The old US version of course retained the blood while cutting out the erotic aspects of ilsa. I've seen both, censorship in any form sucks.
