Lord Java?

Got into an argument on a Dolemite forum a while back... the character of "Java" in Human Tornado always seemed a little sketchy to me. Finally studied the credits and put two and two together... can anyone verify/debunk my suspicion that Lord Java is/was a dude? Java does have a topless scene in Caveletti's "chamber of horrors" but them brestises look like aftermarket models to me. Anyone else got any insight on this perplexing dilemma???

you know, i was wondering the same thing. especially because of her (his?) last line, after being freed from the torture chamber. that sure didn't sound like a woman's voice, but then again, they clearly had another actor dub a line in for the dude they abducted as they were arriving in california, too.

I'm pretty sure it was R. R. Moore dubbing over most if not all of the high-speed shots.

& I'm pretty sure that was a dude.

With a name like Lady Java (sounds like a drag's stage name); thick neck; masculine facial features; deep voice...I'm certain LJ's with post-op makeover to look like a woman.

& if one has to question, then your intuition is correct.

Why do people have their signatures in white?!?!

Yes, that's Sir Lady Java (born Archille Deville). (S)he had a stage show at Redd Foxx's nightclub in the 1960s and still lives in L.A. although long retired from performing. I met her through the blues singer Linda Hopkins, and I admit I didn't know she was a man at first until she told me! Java could write a book about her life...

DAMN!!

I knew that was a man when I first saw it!

Well, you're more perceptive than me. I was starting to get a bit turned on by Java (or "it" as you say! lol).
