Bruce Lee cameo?

I was told years ago by a friend who had seen this that Bruce Lee makes a cameo in one fight scene. Of course he completely kicks butt and then just leaves. Anyone know if this is true? If not this movie perhaps it's another Jim Kelly movie (not Enter The Dragon, obviously). Thanks.

I can't believe no one has responded before now. But then, this is the message board for "Hot Potato," so, I suppose that's par for the course.

Anyhow, on to the question. There is no truth to that rumor of Bruce Lee making a cameo in this film. "Hot Potato" was made in 1975 and Lee died in '73, three weeks prior to the release of "Enter The Dragon," which was the only film he made with Jim Kelly.

Based on your description, the closest thing imaginable would be Lee's small role in the 1969 film "Marlowe," in which he tears up James Garner's office and leaves promptly.

Exactly right. I just watched this movie and can verify there's no Bruce Lee or, even a Bruce Lee lookalike.

What the OP may be thinking of is Jackie Chan making a very brief cameo appearance in Enter the Dragon. Jackie's involved in the big fight scene finale with Bruce Lee, but is only on screen for a matter of seconds and you really need to be watching closely or will miss him.
